I feel like Melina's strengths are the strong feedback that she gives on the graded material, her willingness to assist us even out of section time and the way she kept me engaged with the course content.
Melina did a wonderful job of keeping us updated, informed and of integration between the class section with the material learned. This class had a LOT of graded assignments (at least 2 one page single spaced papers per week), which was manageable for students, but I could imagine grading ~60 papers every week is a LOT.
I appreciated how quickly she would respond, and the care and accommodations she provided given this unprecedented quarter. She was also very helpful in finding resources for the class and our papers.
Melina is very knowledgeable about the health care system and it really shows during section. She’s very approachable and pretty chill about things which makes her less intimidating. Melina was a very helpful and approachable TA who tied her contributions in well with the wider class.
She was always approachable and fostered an engaging discussion environment in which every student felt comfortable voicing not only their academic opinions but their experience-based beliefs as well
Melina was very helpful in facilitating the discussion in understanding health policy not only in the US, but globally as well. She often elaborated on answering to every question, giving insightful comments.
